Gold Creek, Alberta
In 2001, MAXIM acquired the 6.5 MW Gold Creek generation facility in the Grande Prairie region of Alberta. This facility utilizes waste heat from TransCanada PipeLines’s main line compressor to generate power. Power produced from this base load facility is sold through the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO).
