Capitol District Energy Center Cogeneration Associates (CDECCA), Connecticut

In 2006, MAXIM acquired the CDECCA Power Plant, a 62 MW natural gas-fired, dual fuel capable, combined-cycle cogeneration plant with a single GE Frame 6B gas turbine in Hartford, CT. CDECCA provides peaking energy to the New England power market. It also provides steam and chilled water under long term contract to a district heating and cooling network in the city of Hartford, Connecticut.

The facility began commercial operation in 1989. CDECCA receives forward capacity and energy payments from ISO New England. MAXIM has contracted PurEnergy LLC to operate the plant.
